I have another problem when in conversation.

Sometimes I can't think of something else to say to someone.. like ill give a short answer and then I try hard to say something else but I can't think of anything and there's a big awkward silence :| How do people keep a conversation going. it's really hard to flirt this way. o by the way he told my friend i was awesome ^.^ i ish following all of your advice.

Glad to hear you are getting some positive feedback!

Good conversational skills don't usually come easily. Most of us learn the hard way... by practicing. It's nervousness that makes it hard to keep up your end of the conversation. Once you get over those nerves it will be easier.

Keep in mind some general topics that should always be of interest to each of you. Ask him how he is doing (and ask specifically if you know he has had some trouble or happiness), ask how his family is doing, school, sports, music, movies, cable, etc. The list is limitless. The important thing is to *care* about him and what he says and to remember what he says for the next day when you can followup on that topic.

It never hurts to talk about your feelings. For example, if you are having a hard time thinking of something to say, ask him what he does when he can't think of anything to say.
