She just said she was busy, smiled at me shyly and walked off

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
There is this girl at school, who i really like. She doesnt say anything to me until i say something to her. She knows that i fancy her, and so does the rest of the class for that matter (Word spreads quickly). The thing is she is shy, very shy towards me,, and that makes me more nervous around her than i already am. I gathered up enough courage to ask her out one day before the end of break. I managed to get her away from her friends and asked her if she was doing anything over the weekend. The thing is there was a group of boys near by who sort of crowded round us and that put me off. She said she was busy, gave me a quick shy smile and walked off?
Did this mean that i made a massive mistake or was she too shy to reply?

I don't think you made a mistake... maybe were a little unlucky.

You are doing good so far getting over your shyness. That's the first step toward learning to interact with girls.

She was probably busy just like she said... and she was nervous because of all the boys around.

Give it another try and maybe luck will be with you this time.

Good luck! George
