Thinking about him again

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
OK, I was with my ex for 2 years before he broke up with me in october. He has a new girlfriend. We tried to stay friends but it was too complicated and painful. In january I pretty much cut contact, blocked him online, stopped calling and meeting up. He wanted explainations at first but I just emailed him telling him I was fine and kept it very short and sweet. Since then we have barely spoken. However because we'll be home from uni soon and in the same town with the same friends, I keep thinking about him again. I've heard many stories about couples splitting up at uni and getting back together in the holidays. His new girlfriend lives abroad and so I kinda have hopes that they wont stay together over the 3 month summer break. I don't know if this is true. But I think I want him back. Orignially I was desperate to get back with him, and he said he needed time, and that perhaps in a few months or years time we would. At that time we both wanted to stay best friends. Now that its been months, is there anything I could do? Or should I continue to get on with my life?

The things you say are true.

Why not keep things as they are. If you are going to get back together you will. If not then you will still be on the road to getting on with your life.

You can't be expected to wait or chase him for month after month.

Good luck! George
