Still friends...but I want more??

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
This is a follow up question....Me and my ex are still friends-it's been about 1 1/2 months since we broke up-and things aren't horrible-but of course there is that nagging feeling of her meeting someone else or that we won't get back together. But something big did happen. She bought a blank card and in it-wrote how much she appreciated me being there for her in her rough times. When we first broke up-she told me how she didn't do that sort of stuff and that maybe I should find someone who did. There is still that bit of awkwardness when we do things we did when we dated-like watch t.v. under the same blanket-but we tell each other everything and talk on the phone almost every night!! And i try to text her cute message telling her to make sure to smile.(I'm not sure if that is too much or not but she seems to appreciate it). Is this enough to rekindle what we had??- or am I just walking to a ending that will be just this-and end up with another "best friend"??

Things could go either way for you.

Your friendship seems to be strong and consistent, caring contact may lead to a rekindled romance for you. On the other hand, as you said, it may end in another "best friend" situation.

To work toward a rekindling take a look at our suggestions at:
