How much do we tell each other?

Me and my boyfriend have been going out for a couple years now, but recently he won't tell me what he's doing or where he's going. Just the other day he told me he wouldn't able to go somewhere with me and when I asked why he said, "Do you have to know everything???" But later I found out he told one of my friends where he was going, but he couldn't tell me. And I had to find out from my friend what was going on. My question is, how much should we tell each other? Am I weird for wanting to know something as simple as where he was going?

But, on the other hand, he may just be feeling the need for some amount of privacy and freedom.
Don't push him on this unless you are looking for trouble.
Be kind and understanding and he will soon be his old self again.
