How to talk to the guy who suddenly asked me out without hurting his feelings?

When the guy who told me he wanted me to be his girlfriend he took me by surprise and it scared me a little. We danced to My dream wedding song "In The Still Of The Night" and I was about to cry because it was sweet of him to do dedicate that song to me. He also told me that I looked beautiful that day. We danced three songs after that. I don't want to hurt his feelings that I want to slow things down. I like him and I do want to get to know him better. Please help!

You won't hurt his feelings if you tell him the truth in a gentle and caring way.

Explain to him that he took you by surprise and you just need more time to get used to the idea. You might mention that you have other male interests also.
