i'm scared out of my mind (!)

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
my apologies in advance for the semi-lengthyness.

i am pathetic. i know you guys said that crushes would sort of wear out of you or at least tone down a tad after a while, but no... not with me. i have been totally head over heels for this guy (let's just say his name is Jordan) at my school for like three years. i must admit that it has always been a very mild thing up until now though. but i mean seriously- i have never been so ashamed of myself! i can't tear my mind away from him-like- ever! my best friend is the one who thinks i'm totally pathetic, and she's probably right.

he's not in any of my classes this year but i see him quite a bit. i talk to him, but not as much as i would like to. i get dizzy whenever i see him and i felt like i was going to pass out when he walked by me on his way to the water fountain one day. is that normal? not really as far as i know.

i have been leaving him flirtatious notes in his locker- by the way... i am not a stalker or anything. i don't actually know his combo, his locker is frozen (meaning it just opens when you lift the lock).- and as far as i can tell, he's reacting to them really well. i have stopped leaving him notes, but i have continued to smile at him and say hi when i get the chance. my original plan was to try to get him to sign my yearbook on the last day of school, and when i sign his, i would put a small note poking out of the top saying, "It was me!
-my name"

the rest off my friends think it's genius- "it's brilliant!", "you should put your number or your sn or something too," and, "oh! perfect- then he has like three months to let it sink in,".

the problem(s): a)i'm not so sure as my friends that it's the right thing to do
regardless of the fact that it was my idea in the first place,
and
b) i'm scared out of my mind

help(!)

Your hormones are running wild.

That explains the dizziness. Your desire for this boy is perfectly normmal and you should enjoy it rather than be scared... although that is actually part of the fun.

Putting notes in his locker was a good idea and so is your plan to put a note in the yearbook. Try to contact him during the summer too.

Good luck! George
