After 5 yrs...still want her...

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
I met this girl in high school and since I've seen her I felt in love with her..We became friends at first but half a year later...we begun going out...Our whole relationship laster about 5 years...with ups and downs offcourse...Despite the fact that we haven't had sex, we were very intimate and I belive that I am her first true love. Our love story ended a year ago...she met this guy who lives in Minnesota and she felt in love with him...since then our friendship has been on and off because of my jalousy and my problem accepting the fact that she had somone else. At some point i realized that it was time to let go so I did...and told her that I was lying to myself that I was in love with her and it was just a simple reason to keep some hope in my heart that one day we are going to get back together. After that we abandonned each other one more time...and a week ago...we contacted eachother for the fourth time since she bugun her new relationship. I also want to mention that when we decided not to be friends for the third time...I made a big scene and made her cry alot...and that made a big scar on her heart...but despite that she accepted my apologies last week...The thing is that...she told me that despite the fact that she is with her new boy...she realizes that she made a mistake by breaking up with me...and a second one by going out with him...

She said something like this:

''i was confused and thought that maybe the distance between me and brandon made me feel weird and all because he wasn't around but then it seemed weird still i was kinda confused for a while and didn't know what to do so i just continued doing what i was doing before not talking to u and being with *Joe Blow*.

with time i started realizing that i made more then one mistake and that in a way braking up with u was a mistake and getting with *Joe Blow* was one too..

Leaving u was a childish mistake and therefore i have to learn from it. But when i realised all that i realised that i need someone like u...and that i need a man insteed of a pretty face...''

What do you thinks...is she still confused about her love? Do I have a chance? Or should I just force myself to be friends...and let go?

From what she says, you should give it another try.

She would have nothing to gain from lying to you so you should be able to believe whata she says.

Give it a go.

Good luck! George
