Confusing situation

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
I am in a very complicated situation.. to make it short basically I'm seeing my ex again whom I have been involved with for the past 4 years on and off. I love him to death but I don't seem to have passion for him anymore because I don't enjoy anything sexual with him. I also like this other guy and we made out, and I can't remember the last time I had so much fun just kissing.

I can see a future with the guy I am seeing now, but I'm afraid it isn't normal to have no passion (he also hurt me in the past and I think that's why). I know the other guy (and that he likes me), and even though he's a total sweetheart he likes to party and drink a lot, and is even into drugs, which isn't something I'd want.

I'm just very confused, me and my ex have great compatability in everything except for passion on my end. Should I just wait for it to come back? What is more important, wanting the same things in life or having passion?

Thank you!

RomanceClass.com Advice
One of the important aspects of a good relationship is affection.

If the relationship is romantic then affection translates to passion.

While passion tends to decrease over time with many couples, it is not a good sign when it disappears at such an early age.

You might want to take a break with him and see if the passion is really gone. You should think twice about continuing a relationship where the passion is gone.

Good luck! George
