I've been getting close to one of my female friends.
I was getting close to asking her out when her ex started talking to her again. the main problem with this is that when they were together he treated her badly, and i was told he cheated on her. How can i get her to realize that it's a bad idea to get back with him,She says she loves him but i'm afraid she'll get hurt again. How can i tell Her that She is making a mistake without messing up my chances with her?

Rather than tell her she is making a mistake, lead her to realize it on her own. Ask her to describe how things were when they were together. The more she talks and thinks about it, the more she will conclude he is not for her.
