Its like we still go together why wont he take me back

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
Me and my boyfriend was dating for 3 years before we broke up. We have been broken up for about three months now. He still calls me on his lunch break and does little things to show me that he still cares, he doesnt have a girlfriend and he talks about having kids and when we get older we can get married. How can he make all these plans for the future if im not even his girlfriend. I tried everything to get him back and he always tell me when I stop worrying he will take me back, how long do I have to wait? He still checks my phone to see if I have any new boy numbers in my phone and deletes them and says that he loves me. He still comes to my house like twice a week and cuddle and fall asleep on my couch. Im beginning to think that he wants to be single but want to still have me in his back pocket when he gets lonely. All my friends tell me to not call him and make him suffer but I dont want him to forget about me and start to talk to someone else. I think that he is scared because we talked about this before and he said that he doesnt want to break my heart again or make me fell any pain. Should I give him more time and dont say anything about our relationship until he brings it up or take my friends advice and stop talking to him for a while and let him miss me. Also would you recommend some books that I can buy in the book store that I can read about my problem. Thank you for your time bye

RomanceClass.com Advice
This is a puzzling situation.

It does seem like he wants to have you in his "back pocket."

He said he'd take you back if you "stop worrying." Why not take him at his word and stop worrying. Start feeling good about yourself, stop calling him and that will show him you are not too concerned about things. His request is rather unusual, and it doesn't allow you to question him about it because then you would be worrying.

As far as books... my advice is to go the http://www.amazon.com and click on BOOKS and then enter the search string BREAKING UP. There are plenty of good books to help you out.

Good luck! George
