Where do we stand?

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
Well obviously, there's this guy I like (or else I wouldn't be here writing to you, now would I =] ) and I know that he likes me. We have been friends since the third grade, and just three weeks ago we were instant messaging and we both revealed to each other that we liked the other. My only problem is, I don't know if we are going out or where we stand relationship-wise. He flirts with me quite a bit and acts like we are going out privately (i.e. no PDA) and somewhat asked me to our Valentine's Dance ("Will you dance with me?"/"Of course."/Will you dance with me more than once?"/*smiles* "Definitely.") I would ask him myself where we stand, but he doesn't seem to really know either because his best friend keeps asking us whether we're going out and he just laughs him off. Thanks in advance George!

RomanceClass.com Advice
It does sound like he doesn't know how he feels.

You can help him along by making comments such as "Thanks for inviting me to the Valentine's Dance, I'm really looking forward to it."

If he responds positively, it will start him thinking that you are going out. If he doesn't then you can deduce that he doesn't consider you are going out.
Just make sure he doesn't think he has to pick you up (unless you want him too, of course)

Good luck! George
