I don't know what to do.

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
my ex and I have dated for almost a year and we have been through a lot together. She is a worrier. She worries about simple things like do i have enough food, is my car running okay, did I lock my doors, etc. We have been through a lot through the last year. Things that stress people out and cause them to get down. I have been through two cars, moved, and all kinds of other things that happened and we weren't expecting and she has been there for me through it all. Sunday she asked for a break. I asked her to see other people she said she didnt know. I left. She texted me all that night saying how she just wanted a break from the stress...and kept reitterating that to me for the next couple days. Monday she texted me saying she missed me and how she doesnt think she deserves me and she continued to ask if i made it home okay and calling me baby and all the things she used to do. Saturday came and she told me that she didnt love me anymore and that she considered me her best friend. I told her i loved her, we shared some tears and said our goodbyes. It was very hard. She called me later that night cuz she had a personal problem she said she could only talk to me about and i comforted her through it telling her it would be alright and everything like that although when she broke up with me i told her i couldn't talk to her anymore. She called back again later that night saying she was still worried and yet again i calmed her down. She said then on the phone "why does it feel like i am making a huge mistake" and then she said "you know I love you" and we talked a little bit longer then hung up. What does all this mean? She has a lot going on in her life, but what do I do to have her back in my arms?

Sounds like she is softening up and wants you back but isn't sure.

Just keep on doing what you've been doing and be sure she knows you still love her but respect what she wants to do as right for her.

This sounds like a short-term breakup to me.

Good luck! George
