RomanceClass.com Advice
As father of the little girl, you have visiting rights.

Take advantage of those times to make sure your ex realizes that you have matured, that you still care for, and you want to be with her to raise the baby.

This might not work right away, but after a while she may start to see that you are serious and deserve her attention.

Good luck! George
