I like her, she's asking why I don't have a girlfriend

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
I have a big problem. Well, right now i'm at summer school and theres a girl there i really like. All i ever think about is her. We have breaks from class every once and a while and we usually go and sit on these benches and talk. Yesterday she asked me why i don't have a girlfriend. i don't know what that even means! She has a boyfriend too.

Should i tell her how i feel? I'm just so scared of rejection. please help!!

RomanceClass.com Advice
It's usually not wise to blurt out you love someone or like them, because they might not react very well to it. It's always best to SHOW someone you care for them. Especially if she already has a boyfriend!!

When she asks you why you're not dating someone, tell her that you haven't found anyone that is single who you are fond of. That is the truth. Definitely don't try to break her apart from her boyfriend. Let her do that on her own. If she breaks up on her own, she will take responsibility for it and not blame you. But if YOU cause her to break up with her boyfriend, then whenever you guys have ups and downs, she will blame you for causing her to 'abandon' the guy she really liked. You don't want to be in that sort of situation.

Hopefully if you keep being friends with her and she realizes how sweet and wonderful you are, she will naturally realize that she enjoys being with you far more than she enjoys being with her boyfriend. But that friendship you have with her is the thing to treasure and maintain. It will be the key to everything.
