i messed up

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
Me and my ex were dating for about 2 years from her freshemn year in high school all the way up till now. I went to the army and came back changed. We took a break twice for about 2 days a peace and then just recently i made the biggest mistake of my life. I told her we needed to be friends it was so stupid the girl I was talking about marring i wanted to be friends. See im 20 just got my own house and i thought im 20 i should be able to do what ever that wasnt the case. I listened to my ego instead of my heart. That girl means everything to me i cant sleep at night only when im not sober i sleep. Its been almost a couple of weeks and she talking to a guy she meat before we broke up i pray to god hopeing everything will work out. I wrote a letter of how i missed her and what i would do to get her back and i told her i would wait until she decided what she wanted im just worried that well never be together and my life will just go down hill.

RomanceClass.com Advice
You did the right thing by writing her a letter explaining your feelings.

She now knows that you want her back. Next step is to ask her out for dinner at a very nice restaurant and bring her favorite flowers.

Explain again how much you feel for her and how sorry you are that you asked her to be just friends.

It's only been two weeks, so you have the chance to fix things now before they get settled in. Act quickly or you may end up kicking yourself.

Good luck! George
