I don't wanna break up

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
Sorry if this is long and disorganized rambling I'm upset at the moment.

Basically I'm going to be forced to break up with my girlfriend of just over six months because of my parents (I know we could go behind their backs etc. considered that, but can't really.) It's weird she's my first girlfriend and I want to break up in person rather than over the phone, or even worse online or text message. I really don't know how though...only will be able to see her for like 10 minutes before or after school. Also don't really want to so don't know what to say. We both kinda knew we'd be forced to break up eventually...and she's always worried about it and has started crying about it multiple times. It really sucks because I don't even want to do it...but better than causing more problems. Also we plan on going to prom this Saturday and I don't really want to do it before then...but she's already noticed something bothering me but doesn't really know what it is. I don't want her to think it's something about prom as to why I'm breaking up. I know she'll be really pissed if she finds out it's because of my parents.

RomanceClass.com Advice
As you said, you should tell her in person.

Wait until after the prom and try to be pleasant as you can be until then.

Tell her how you feel about her but also tell her that your parents are against your dating

There will be a lot of crying.

You didn't mention why your parents are against her or whether they are just against dating, but you could still have a last effort at convincing them that it is ok to date her.

Good luck! George
