Why does he still want to be friends?

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
My boyfriend and I broke up about 2 months ago because he doesn't want a relationship . We still talk, but we recently hung out for the first time since the breakup. He reinforced that he still wants to be friends but he still has feelings for me and that they just don't go away. he says he thinks about me but didn't want to call too much to be misleading. I told him i am not over it yet. I am trying to heal but I realized that talking to him and seeing him is only delaying the process of healing so I asked him why he hasnt cut me off completely. He said it's because hes a nice guy and if he can keep a friend in his life thats important. I think there is something else going on. I asked him to not call me anymore so that I can get over it completely. If he truly wants to be friends, there is no rush. He had a head start on breaking away from me and I am just not where he is yet. Why do you think he wants to be friends?

RomanceClass.com Advice
He wants to be friends for the reasons he told you.

You told him how you felt and that was good.

Hopefully he will leave you alone until you are over him.

Good luck! George
