love of my life

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
I was with someone for 1 1/2 and he was the best man I could ask for. Went out of his way to help me and my kids through some tough situations. My kids absolutley adore him, as do I. But I go scared and ran. Told him I needed my space. He moved out. A few weeks later I ran into an old friend from high school and we've been dating for the last 5 months. I am still in love with my ex.. can't stop thinking about him!! I will never feel that way about anyone else. Should I break it off with my new friend? My ex is still in love with me and wants to work things out!! He is distraught!!! I don't know what to do.. I am torn!!! I told my ex that I am not ready for that much love right now that someday yes I can see us having a future together!! What is wrong with me why can't I be ready now????

RomanceClass.com Advice
Life is weird.

A neutral observor would tell you "Run as fast as you can to your ex and live a happy life with your kids forever."

But it's not that simple. You have to listen to your instincts and wait until you are ready or it is likely not to work out with you and your ex.

My advice is to stay in stand-by mode and wait until you feel the time is right to go back with your ex. You would do this knowing that you might never feel that way and that if you are ready, your ex may have lost interest.

Good luck! George
