i love my boyfriend but miss my ex's friendship.

well the title says it all... my boyfriend and i've been together a year and have been through more then what other couples have...i love him with all my heart! he's my everything... but 2 months bfore we dated i was dating some one else who i had something really special with...we had a lot of fun together. well.. i miss him. b4 we dated we were gr8 friends. we got along very well. well it's a long story but my boyfriend won't allow me to be friends with him. i have told him that i think about my ex. but he thinks i'l get over it...but i don't think so. i really miss being he's friend... that's all i want to be.
since my boyfriend and i've been dating... it's as if i've lost my social life. i have less friends...i had to give up or sacrifice A LOT for him. but i want it back to normal...is this how it's suppose to be? pls help...

It's normal to lose friends when you are dating.

So much time is spent between the lovers that there isn't much time left for others. If you are missing friends then make time for them and explain it to your BF.

Regarding the ex that you keep thinking about... it is normal for a guy to resent attention being paid to an ex even if it is just friendship. But normal doesn't make it right. Keep after your BF until he feels comfortable with the idea of your seeing your ex.
