Long Distance Love fell to Short Distance Snuggling

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
Well i live in san francisco and i'm 17 and the girl i love lives in LA, shes 16 i went there to see her and had little fun and kissed, she snuck me over her house to just sleep for the night. i really love her and she loves me. But she needs someone to be there for her and like a month ago she hooked up with a 19 year old which i think is ridiculous.

Now we don't as often anymore. But every now and then she always tell me how she miss me and she loves me. But i really like her and i want to still have that relationship where we can go out but i don't know how? I want to be able to visit her and kiss her and just what couples do but now i can't. Is there a way to win her heart back?

One of the most common problems with long distance love is that people really want that physical contact that you get with a real-time love. Long distance relationships require an incredible amount of patience, understanding and self restraint to work. It sounds like this just wasn't going to work out between you two.

I would certainly keep her as a dear friend, but if she wants a physical guy around all the time, you just can't be that for her. It's like you're a fish and she's a bird. You can love her from afar, but you just can't give her what she needs for her day to day life.

I'm sure there are great girls around your own local area. Keep your eyes open and start giving them a chance. You never know what you might find!
