My ex said he is still in love wit me

i have broken up wit my ex three months ago.We have gotten in contact and stayed in contact for over a month now he just told me that he was still in love with me and wanted to take things slow. Was talking about how we wanted to marry me,and that what he felt was feel. but now he is saying that hes heart belongs to someone else someone who he use to date for not even a month. I asked him what about all the things he said he said it was a feeling and got over it . he said hes in love with this person but im thinking in my head are you feeling gonna end everything i dont know i still want him back but everythime hes going into circles what should i do

Tell him that you understand that he's in love with someone else, but that you love him too and want him back.

That way if he breaks up with the new girl, he might come back to you.
