I broke his heart and he broke mine and now i love him more than ever

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
My ex boyfriend and i dated for 2 and a half years. Both in high school and while i've been out. He is still in high school and it has been hard with his family. Which hate the fact of us dating. We got through that but i couldn't get past that fact that i was going to college and he was staying behind so i broke his heart. When coming back home i found that i loved him more than ever, and we began to date again. After 6 months he decided that this wasn't going to work and ended it. After two months of not hanging out he called me out of the blue and told me he cheated on me but he was really sorry and that he really did love me but didn't want to get hurt again. I hated him for all of this i was crushed and i truly feel like i can't date anyone else now. It was even hard to hang out with my best friends cause they are his best friends to. Now we are friends with benefits and i want him back more than anything. I love him so much and just keep this hope that we will be more but his mom will not let us date. How do i get back together with the love of my life?
