my ex partner of 7 years left me for another girl but i have also been lying as well. he says he dose want to give it ago but he wants me to prove that i want him. i asked what he wanted me to do but he said its up to me. i have backed off and gave him his space and have just made a normal conversion but nothing like oh i want you back.i have cut new men out my life to show him that i want him, i have even post things on bebo site to say sorry. i really don't know what he wants me to do help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He sounds immature and he is doing a rotten thing to you by asking you to try to convice him that you want him. It wouldn't be so rotten if he told you what you needed to do, but instead he makes it a mystery. On the other hand, maybe he doesn't know what he wants.
This is made even more confusing because he has a girlfriend and the rules are that if a guy has a girlfriend, you leave him alone. Does he want you to sneak around begging him to come back? That is another bad thing he is asking.
But, if you want to go along with his game, you might think of what he likes. Does he like to receive gifts, to go out, or maybe you could make him his favorite home-cooked meal.
Maybe you should tell him that you want another chance but you refuse to sneak around trying to get him back. Tell him once he is a free man to give you a call.
