Being Too Nice

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
I have seen this woman twice now and I really enjoy her company. I know she has been hurt in the past and I have been nice to her the entire time. I thought the other night that I may have made her feel uncomfortable by asking if I could kiss her. I have talked to her about it and I have told her how I feel and she feels the same way, but that I am being too nice.

How can I be too nice to someone and how should I take that to heart and change my ways to better suit the situation?

RomanceClass.com Advice
I wish women would NOT say this to guys because it makes them very confused. I think what she is really saying is that you shouldn't ask for permission to do things. It turns everything into a formal, nervous situation. Developing a friendship should be a comfortable, casual thing, not a "Please Miss May I Have Permission to Touch your Lips to My Lips?" thing.

I have advice here on going from friends to romance -

instead of ASKING if you can hug her, give her a friendly hug hello. Instead of ASKING for permission to kiss her, give her a friendly cheek kiss goodbye. Treat her like a friend, not as a stone object on a pedestal!
