What do I do?

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
I met my husband 3 years ago in which I ended up getting pregnant and married to him. I have feelings for my husband but I am no longer in love with him. There is no respect, communication, trust or boundaries in our relationship. I am soo unhappy and its making it hard for me to see any point in living. The one man who I am truly in love with, I came in contact with today. I haven't seen or spoke to him for 5 years I had lost his number and email address. He says he wants he and I to be together and he says it would be paradise he said he would treat my children as his own and that he loves me and never stopped loving me. I totally and completely beleive him and I love this man he treated me like a queen among queens but the thing is that he lives in Florida and I live in Canada and I had met him while on vacation there. I dont know what to do. I am currently sponsoring my husband for him to stay in the country and I feel he is just using me for that reason. I didnt want to marry him but he begged me until I gave in as well as my parents were pressuring me. What should I do should I pursue the relationship with my true love or do I stay and be unhappy and pressured with my husband.

PS, remember I have 2 children

RomanceClass.com Advice
You have written often describing how sad you are with your husband and your life. Fortunately you have two beautiful children to keep you reasonably happy. Sorry you are in this situation.

Think about how long it will take for your husband to get into the country for good. Can you wait that long to resolve this? If it's a short time then bite the bullet and wait it out. Then divorce him (see below). But remember the divorce decree will probably not allow you to remove the children to Florida so your love will have to return from Florida.

If you can't wait for your husband's papers to be approved you should begin thinking of divorce. Find a professional marriage counselor to help you two with this. If he won't go, go without him.

Good luck! George
