Is there something between him and me?
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Femaleme and this guy used to be good friends (our moms worked together and we got together alot).by the way he's a year older, im 16.
then for 2 years we lost touch.
after those 2 years, his family and my family got together and caught up (at the time i was turning 15).
He completely ignored me the entire night! everytime we got together he'd never come. I understand he's older now and "grew up", but so did i and i didnt act like this... anyways... later in the summer we all went to a vacation spot, and no surprise for those 2 weeks, he ignored me.
i tried making conversation, but he only gae me 2 word answers or nods.
it's upsetting that my old friend didnt want to be my friend anymore =(
as kids, we would always be together and pretty much exclude his little sister and she'd get upset because she felt left out.... we went swimming together and our families poked fun saying we looked like a couple... right i was 6.
His sibling told me he liked me when we were kids. he acted like the typical boy... teasing me, poking me, doing everything possible to get my attention. She said she noticed it... and she is 3 years younger than me!
Then came Christmas time.
we got together, and to my surprise, he came over to my house.
that entire night (you guessed it) he ignored me.
i was desperate to make conversation with him. i started including him in stuff and interacting.
around 3 hours or so later, he starts legitimately talking to me, asking me personal questions (who i hung out with, school, people i know).
it felt uncomfortable because i felt he was trying to label me, if im "popular" or not [i told my friend and she said he might have been trying to see who my friends were to perhaps get closer to me, you know?...i dont know]
we laughed and had a nice time, i wish it lasted longer, because i do miss him, that friendship.
now, im in High School, 2nd year [going to 3rd]
we go to the same school.
i see him in the halls, and he just smiles and gives that "hey whats up" nod. no verbal convo, just that. when im going to a class i see him at his locker with his friend, and i do notice he glances at me and looks down like he did something wrong... but he choses not to say hi or anything, so i dont bother either. and sometimes his friend stares...
he's kind of a critic at times, and is into health and working out.... i am not lol, maybe he doesnt like the way i look.... im not fat, i am short [5 ft], im a straight forward, in your face person... and he doesnt seem to be.
his sister says he acts different around me... at home he's annoying and bothers her, but with me, he acts "cool", not talkative, and shy... why?????
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS SITUATION... SHOULD I TRY BEING HIS FRIEND? DOES HE NOT WANT TO BE MY FRIEND? DOES HE LIKE ME? HELP !
RomanceClass.com AdviceUnfortunately, my guess is that he is not attracted to you very much.
You could test the waters by asking him out to a movie and see what he says.
Also when you pass him in the hall be sure to look him in the eye, smile, and say in a clear voice "Hi" plus his name. This may cause him to be attracted to you. Sometimes a simple hello and a smile can do wonders.
