Jealousy towards females
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
Ok i am a 20 year old and i have been married for a year now and have a 4 month old with my husband. I love my husband to death! But i have a problem with getting really jealous when we are around other females, i kinda have a problem if i don't know them. I know where my jealousy comes from it's me not feeling good about myself because i see all thses skinny minnys. He is tinny himself. He has told me time and time again that he loves me and would never do anything to hurt me. I know he would not hurt me, but i can not get over my jealousy, and he says it causes resintment towards me, and if i don't get over it it might cause a divorce, because he does not want to be with someone who is like that. I don't like the idea of him going out with his friends because we have a baby now to take care of. But i don't think that is because of jealousy i am just the type to want the person i love with me at all times except when he is at work. He is a police officer, so i don't get jealous when he talks about the nasty hoochies he arrest. I know i have a problem and i need help but i don't know where to go.

You have to get over your jealousy or your marriage will probably not last.
See a professional counselor (just you) and try to get to the bottom of the problem. The counselor should suggest methods of adjustment so you can deal with your husband's behavior.
Your reaction may be a result of having just had a baby so keep that in mind.
