Serious Boyfriend is a massage therapist

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
My live-in boyfriend is a massage therapist and so am I. I met him at work and invited him to my place to give me an innocent massage, but I found he has a way of being very professional but pushing all the right buttons! That is how we came to be together almost 2 years now. I have explained to him that I hate knowing he is touching and caressing other women and making them swoon. I have come to hate being a massage therapist as well because I don't want to hypocritical. But I can't help but feel it is cheating when he has his hands all over other women all day and then comes home to me, I feel like I'm being cheated on! He was a womanizer when I first met him and likes young girls which bothers me too. I'm even quitting my career as massage therapist is how bad it is. How can I deal with the man I love touching other women? HELP!!

RomanceClass.com Advice
You have been together for two years. It's time for you to get used to his profession. As you said he is very professional about his job so what you are worrying about is whether his clients are getting turned on by him.

Your concern would be the same if your boyfriend were a doctor, dentist, chiropractor, movie star or any other profession where women typically get romantic ideas. It is just unavoidable.

My advice is to keep your job and stop worrying over what other women think about your boyfriend. It's just a job, after all.

If this continues to trouble you, consider seeing a counsellor.

Good luck! George
