I don't know what to think

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
I am a very jealous person, and this has posed many problems in my relationship of three years, yet we have always been able to get over problems in the past. However problems have got worse with my boyfriend since he has been abroad this year. Most of the time I do trust him, yet there are times when I still let my fears bother me. The current problem is that my boyfriend is planning to go away with a female friend on a trip for a few days. This would be fine apart from the fact he is going only with her, he didn't even ask me about it, and I have found out (not through him) that they are sharing a single room together. He assures me that he would never be unfaithful to me and that he loves me and I believe him, but I feel quite certain that even if I weren't a jealous person, I would still have a problem with this. In my eyes he has already betrayed me. I can't comprehend how he can possibly think this is acceptable behaviour in a relationship, and I feel like I mean nothing to him. Am I just being overly jealous or do you think I have something to worry about? I don't know what to think any more. Any advice would be gratefully received, thank you.

If he is in Europe or maybe Great Britain then you can trust him no matter how painful and angry you get. Maybe not 100% trust but at least 80%. Other countries are not ok.

This is obviously my opinion based on my impression of other countries. Take it for what it's worth.

In general though, I agree with you he's out of line.

Good luck! George
