I don't want us to be over

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
My boyfriend and I have been together for a year and a half. He's the only guy I want to be with but I can get really jealous. He hangs out with his friends at night and stays out until all hours, has a wicked good time and there is this one girl who always hangs out with them. I don't know what to do, when he is with me it always seems like he's bored or doesn't want to be with me, but rather with friends. I get so jealous and angry that i say awful things and sometimes it leads to a really close breakup. I don't want that to happen because I love him with everything I have, I just wish I wasn't jealous. WHat do I do?

RomanceClass.com Advice
Jealousy is a very difficult emotion to deal with whether it is justified or not. In your case, I think it is justified.

He should not be staying out to all hours of the night when he knows it upsets you. Then he turns around and acts disinterested when he is with you. Of course you cannot stand this behavior.

Have a *rational* talk with him and let him know that you love him but you cannot stay with him the way he makes you feel. This may lead to a break-up, but that is better than you being crazy with jealousy when he is out with his buddies and other girls.

It won't be pleasant, but you should do it for your own sanity.

Good luck! George
