tug of war between my mind and heart

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
My ex and I's relationship was almost perfection. We spent most of our time together and we never fought or aurgued. I don't even remember problems involving jealousy. I completely trusted him and he trusted me. We even went out of our way to do things for eachother. I was honestly happy with him. I cannot explain how perfect it felt. We even planned for marriage. Then, out of nowhere, he leaves me. He tells me that I need to be independent and didn't really give me an explaination. I was completely heart broken but I knew I had to move on. I met my current boyfriend and we have just celebrated being together 1 yr. I love him but we argue and their was trust issues but overall I'm happy. Not the same kind of happy like the ex. Now the ex has been trying to talk to me for 6 months but I have been ignoring him because to be honest, I still feel for him. I finally agreed to talk with him and he explains everything I needed to know back then. The reason he left me was because he didn't want me getting in trouble. See, while I can over, his mom would take my car for drug dealings and he was ashamed to tell me. He moved out now and says he will always love me. Now my question is what is the most logical thing to do? My mind is saying to stay with my current boyfriend because he doesn't deserve to be left that way and he has stuck by my side during hard times, but my heart still yerns for my fairytale with my ex... I'm sorry so long. My situation is very complexed!! Help!

RomanceClass.com Advice
Talk this over with your current BF. Tell him how you are torn between two choices and that his opinion would help you determine how you really feel.

No matter what your current BF says, you will still have a choice. Take that back... your BF might say that he has been thinking of breaking up and that this is a good opportunities. You never know what the other person is thinking.

Now if both of these guys want you then it is your decision. You should always go with your heart. If your heart wants something then that is the best choice.

My guess is that you know this already and just want to hear someone else say it. That's normal.

Good luck! George
