Well my problem is that ive had a boyfriend online for about 2 years and we broke up a few weeks ago and like now he is going out with someone else but he says he still loves me and i want to go see him in person to see if any sparks fly what should i do? it might sound weird but i really like this guy and im willing to travel to see him

Sorry to hear about your break up.

I don't favor extended online romances, so your idea of visiting has my support.

But, there is the problem that he is now going out with someone else. Usually it is not right to try to break up an existing relationship. But the rules are not as strong immediately following a break up.

Ask him if he wants you to visit and take it from there.

If things don't work out with him, my recommendation is that you look nearby for a real flesh and blood boyfriend.
