Girl At Work - She's Got a Boyfriend
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male I've known this girl from work for about 2 months now, and had always been attracted to her. For the past few weeks, she's been sharing with me about her current problems with her boyfriend, and I listen.
I want to make a move on her, but I'm afraid she doesn't feel the same way. Plus, she's still with her boyfriend. And I don't usually date colleagues because I think it'd be awkward and may potentially ruin working relationships.
Do guys my age still get crushes? What do I do about this? Thanks.
RomanceClass.com Advice Absolutely people get crushes as long as they are alive. All human beings can be fond of other human beings - that's not something that ever goes away (thank goodness!)
I would definitely NOT make any moves while she's got a boyfriend. That is an incredibly dangerous situation to be in. Now you'll be the "rebound man" and tied to her feelings about the break-up. You want to stay very clear of that. You want to be her reliable, trustworthy friend, and listen to her while SHE goes through the break-up process. And then you need to let her recover. Only then should you start making any overtures. Being tangled up in the break-up time and rebound time is a sure-fire way to cause damage to even the most wonderfully perfect pairing.
