What causes two people to be attracted to each other besides looks and personality?

There are ALL sorts of reasons that people date. Some of them are good reasons - others are pretty lousy reasons. People date because they're the same religion, the same social group, came from the same hometown, are the same ethnic background. People date because they're looking for a rich "sugar daddy/mommy" to take care of them so they don't have to bother to take care of themselves. They look for a "mommy/daddy" in the controlling sense so they never have to think for themselves.
The only connection that really works over the years and survives the ups and downs of life is to date your best friend. Looks fade. Money can vanish! But if you're with someone you really like, respect, enjoy being with, can talk about anything with, you will be happy no matter what.
