Friends in Love with Friends

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
I'm deeply, deeply, deeply, deeply in love with one of my friend's and she knows how I feel about her. But she has a boyfriend he also knows how I feel about her. What should I do?

RomanceClass.com Advice
It is VERY common for friends to fall in love with friends. That's what friendship is all about! But she has a boyfriend. So you can love her from afar and support her in her dreams. You CANNOT cause a rift between those two because if you do you will always be thought of as "the guy who broke me up" and she'll blame you if things go wrong after that. Loving a friend is perfectly normal and fine. Breaking up relationships is a different matter!

If SHE ends up breaking up with this other guy on her own, that is fine. But you CANNOT be an instigator of it. Just be a good friend and be there for her, and see how things go.
