I Want Someone New

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
Hi! OK, well I sent you a question before and you answered it about a guy problem and im decideing to take your advice. Well, even before I tried to leave the guy I'm currently with, but I just can't seem to do it. I mean, I'm so ready to be with someone new, but I can't seem to find anyone, I'd be interested in or no one compares to the guy I am currently with now. I try so hard and if I do find a guy that I know I would probably stay with, he just wants to be friends. I just can't seem to find anyone who I could feel the same way for as the guy I'm with, no one compares. Please help. Thanks.

Ummm wait a minute. You have to LEAVE the guy you're with before you look for a new guy! It's not like you USE the guy you're with as a safety net while you scout around for someone more interesting!! That's just cruel.

So make a clean cut here. Break up with the guy you're with. Give yourself at least a month to get over the rebound!! And then start looking around for a new guy. There are SO many ways to find new guys. If you like mountain biking, join some mountain biking groups. If you like science fiction, go to science fiction conventions. There are TONS of guys out there who are looking for dates, and you want someone who shares your intersts. So go to locations where people who enjoy your interests have congregated and then start flirting!
