Am I a Virgin?

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
Can my hymen be broken by oral sex or masturbation? If so, then does this mean that I am no longer a virgin?

RomanceClass.com Advice
Virginity has nothing to do with the hymen. Lots of girls don't even HAVE hymens! Hymens break for all sorts of reasons - they horseback ride, they bike ride, they climb trees.

Virginity is about having sex for the first time. The whole reason virginity matters is that guys were paranoid about their wives only having babies that were their children. Guys controlled the money, and they only wanted their lands, their inheritance and their money going to their OWN children. The way to guarantee this was to make sure the woman was "untouched" when they got her (so there wasn't already a bun in the oven) and then to watch her like a hawk after she was in his control.

So virginity has nothing to do with flaps of skin. It is solely about a guy wanting to ensure only his own blood related children came out of his wife. You notice nobody ever talks about a GUY'S virginity ...
