He Likes One of My Friends!

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
I really fancy this guy at school but he is also a really good friend and I don't want to tell him I like him in case it ruins our friendship and to make matters worse we've been really close this week and he confided to me that he fancies one of my friends.I can't tell him now because I know he will not fancy me back but it's driving me crazy, what should I do?

RomanceClass.com Advice
It's always tough to go from friends to lovers. I have a lot of pages on my site about that transition. But it makes it even worse if the guy seems interested in someone else, because they think of you as a "friend". All friendships are based on honesty. It might be time for you to admit that you care more strongly. If he really doesn't feel the same way, he'll still be flattered that you did care about him. And you'll not spend your nights in anguish because you're wondering if you should have or shouldn't have.

Life is way too short to let opportunities slip you by. That's the sort of thing you anguish about for the rest of your life. If you know, at least you know, and you can move on. And if it works out well, it can be the greatest feeling!
