A relationship is always about two people who like each other, who want to voluntarily spend time together. So while you can do your best to show your best side, you also have to be realistic here. What if she hates football and thinks it is the stupidest sport that exists. And what if you are a football player, a football obsessed person, and all you ever do is talk about and think about football all day. You are best suited for a football lover. You just aren't going to be happy with a football hater - and she isn't going to be happy with you.
For most people, things aren't that extreme. Maybe she just doesn't know about you to even form an opinion. I have a TON of advice on the site about breaking the ice. So go do it. Let her learn to know you as a friend, to learn more about you. That is the necessary first step to take.
