Getting to Know Him

i like this one guy a lot. hes really cute. my best friend likes him to. she knows him a lot more than i do cause he is like her brother's best friend. he has talked to me a couple times and vise versa. the problem is i barely know him. i dont know what he thinks about me and i would really like to know. my question is how do i get to know this guy and how could i find out what he thinks about me.
