It's going to be painful for quite some time. There's no way around it but through it. If you continue to go after your ex-, then there may be hope but there may be more heartache. You need to decide how much you can deal with and then work from there. If you can't handle all the emotion that goes along with this, then you need to back away and find someone new.
If this is taking over your life, then I recommend that you speak with someone professional who can guide you through overcoming this hurt and living a good life again.
