so im talkin to this girl and she is really in love with her ex

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
Hey thanks for takin my question.....okay so im talkin to this girl and she is really in love with her ex, which is understandable, he was her first love and took her virinity, but he really treats her like crap all the time, and just keeps her attached so he can "be" with her whenever hes in a dry spell, if u know what i mean....this really upsets me, and she says shes tryin to get over him, which i really like to hear...Im being really really patient with her and tryin to help her to get through this, but my question is: is there anything else i can do to help her get through this...i mean ill do anything i can for her and she knows it, im there for her night and day, but i just dont know what else to do and was there something else that i can try to make her feel better through this whole deal....

thanks for your time,

You're doing everything you can. People get over past relationships at varying speeds, and there's no one right way to get over it. Time is the best thing, and I would recommend that she not have contact with her ex, which will allow her emotions to settle down instead of getting stirred up each time she sees him again.

The more you're there for her, the more she'll appreciate you instead of her ex and the more likely you will have a wonderful girlfriend for life.

Good luck!
