Can somebody please tell me how to stop my girlfriend and I from fighting over stupid stuff? We have been great for 4 months now and now everything is going down the drain and for no reason at all. Listen, I really love this girl to death. I would take a bullet for her. I just want us to be happy so that we can move on with our lives. LIFE IS TO SHORT TO BE FIGHTING OVER STUPID STUFF. Thanx

Fighting over stupid stuff is a symptom that there is something bigger going on that you neither one of you wants to confront. Your best bet is to sit down one nite (after giving her flowers) and tell her that this fighting is really hurting you and asking her what the real problem is. This will let her know that you care and are serious about her happiness. Make sure you listen carefully and don't become defensive. See if you can find compromises, because, in the end, that's what relationships are... just two individuals working together the best they can and that entails making compromises for eachother's feelings, habits, etc.
