"Pretending" to go out gets serious

were "pretending" to go out just to see what ppl say. But we never see each other because she lives across town from me, we just talk on the phone like every other day. Anyways I want to tell her how i really feel aout her and i want to know how she feels about me. whats the best way to tell her how i feel and ask her how she feels about me without putting her on the spot

Trying to get closer to someone is often difficult, but you already have a good advantage because you are friends. That is the first stage of becoming romantic with someone. Since you are friends, ask her out for a date such as a movie. Or if that is not possible, try a gentle approach on the phone perhaps
in a joking fashion and see how she reacts. Take it slowly so she feels comfortable, but not so slow that she become frustrated not knowing where you are coming from. Who knows what may blossom...
