We don't love each other
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female My boyfriend (31) and I (23) met 9 months ago and have been in this relationship for the same time. We met and two days later hooked up. We went very fast and we have had many conflicts trying to adjust to one another, understanding and accepting our differences. We like each other and care for each other a lot. Somtimes I feel as though I might even love him already, but I know for a fact that he doesn't love me. My question is, should we continue this relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend even though there is no mutual love? Do you think maybe we should break up and start seeing each other as just friends? Although we have already tried doing that, we end up together again. We aren't intersted in any other people, but I am not sure if this is the way to see if we are meant for each other.
RomanceClass.com Advice This is a difficult question to answer. You live together without loving each other. Maybe love will grow, maybe not. The two of you should have some long talks together to determine how strong your current feelings are and also what is the likelihood that you will either drift apart or bond together. If you have access to a counselor, that might be worth a try also.
