Ovulation

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
Me and my gf are in a long term relationship. We have just recently started to do sexual things. we havent had sex and i really want to though... but i know i am not ready for a child. So i want to do everything possible to prevent a child yet still have sex. I will be using a condom and i was wondering from a question i read earlier about the period. Is there a point after it that she would be less likely to become pregnant? A day that would be less fertile for her? If so when does it usually occur?

RomanceClass.com Advice
Congratulations on taking strong precautions about an unwanted pregnancy. Rather than rewording another source, I will simply refer you to a plain explanation of what is usually called the "rhythm method." Of course, since you will be using a condom, you should be getting double protection... which is what you are looking for. The site to read is:

Also, keep in mind that a teenager's reproductive cycle is usually irregular.
Best wishes,
George
