Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
okay, see this guy...we're like goodgood friends...and his cousin told me hel liked me...im like omg...so i call him and he tells me he likes me...we talk all night and i tell him i like him too a) i thought it'd be cool havin a b/f b) I think i was under an influence of some sort c) I didnt wanna hurt his feelings and say no... so he asks me to go to subway with him for lunch that day and im like okay...i was so nervous and nauseated...i couldnt finish my sandwich...we didnt say a word to each other...after i dropped him off i cried because i didnt wanna do this to him...make him think i like him...he called me after awhile when i got home and i told him i'd call him later and that we need to talk...well i never did cause i didnt wanna tell him i didnt like him anymore over the phone...his cousin said he was waiting and waiting...now i feel AWFUL cause its gonna break his heart...but i dont know how to approach him...what should i DO?! I just want out without hurting him...im having to avoid him...which makes me even more upset...he's my buddy...i consider him like a brother...and i just dont see us being romantically involved...gah im going CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!

Just tell him the truth... including that you want to continue to be friends. That's the only kind thing to do... otherwise he is going to be wondering.
