Friends or more?

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
there is this guy whom i've known for 8 years. we practically grew up together. I've liked him for 4 years and i finally told him i liked him myself. he says that he thinks of me as a sister. he says that he'd go out with me but he didn't want to hurt me in any way. he said that he was afraid that we wouldn't talk anymore. he also said that we've known each other for so long so that was why he thinks of me as a sister. plus he has a girlfriend. after our conversation he asked me if i still loved him and i said yeah. then he said "i love u to." then he called me little sis. I like thinking of him as a big brother but i still can't get my mind off of him. he asked if i was alright with everything and i told him yes, and i am alright with everything the way it is but i still love him. is there anything wrong with me that i can't tell him the truth? is there any hope for him to ever have the same feelings for me the way i feel for him?

RomanceClass.com Advice
Keep on trying without being overly pushy. He will either pick up on your love and hopefully return it. Or, he will gradually withdraw from you. If you pay attention closely you can detect which direction he is heading and takes steps accordingly.

Good luck,
George
