Try to get over shyness

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
There is a senior at my school that i think likes me. I'm a freshman so its weird to say that. Recently i wanted to go to Sadie Hawkins with him which is a dance where the girls ask the guys. But everytime i went to go ask him i would get to nervous and walk away. Well i know one of his friends so i asked him to find out if he had a date and help me with asking him. That day my friend who is also a freshman told me he wasn't going. i was hurt but then she said he had drama club pratcie for the play. well the next day the guy i wanted to ask called me. i didn't know who it was and he gave me the hint that like 15 people had asked him to go to Sadies with me. i was like who and he said 4 seniors 5 sophomores and 6 freshman had asked him. but i had only told 2 of m freshman friends and that one senior. i was happy though because he had called me. the next day i calle dhim and we talked for like a half hour. but i'm not sure whats going on now. he hasn't called me back and he doesn't talk to me much in school. even though we have a class together. we have had some moments but he doesn't talk to me now. Did i miss read something he did or said or is this normal?

He sounds like a very popular guy which means you are going to have to get over your shyness if you are going to get anywhere with him. You definitely need to say hi to him in the class you share.

Good luck,
George
